Just got back from Balsam Lake Provincial park. We stayed at the single lonesome cottage on site, which we booked WAY in advance (back in February I think). I was hesitant. Reason being that there were no pics of cottage before going... but rest assured...More

Despite the fire ban, our visit was very enjoyable. Ontario continues to surprise me with another beautiful location. The beach was clean and not over crowded. The bathrooms were clean no matter when I visited. I was very excited to see a little park store...More

For a long weekend of camping, this campground has much to offer. Great beach activities, hiking trails and the best comfort stations I've seen yet! Staff are courteous and friendly and security was great! Campsites are very spacious and clean.

There was not much difference between the outhouses and comfort stations. It appeared that the comfort station had not been given more than bare minimal cleaning since the beginning of the season - and that was just after it had just had its once daily...More

This place is not going to compete with bigger parks in Ontario or Canada, but for what it is, it is pretty amazing. Those going only to the beach are going to miss out on some of the best that there is to offer here,...More

Park is clean and well maintained. Camp sites are close together but a good size. Lake is crystal clear. Beach is busy on the weekend.

This is a great provincial park for day use. They have a wonderful beach that leads into a shallow part of the lake. Great for kids - they can go out 10-15 feet and still be at their hips wading in the water. The park...More
