This beach was one of a few great scenic rest stops along the Loop bike trail. More protected so waves were less aggressive than Race Point beach. This would be a better swimming spot, however for wading and lounging we really liked Race Point.

Great place to watch the sunset. Get a permit to have a fire on this beach and watch the sunset, it is breathtaking!

We came here dayly for a week. Such a nice beach. Very clean and large and not crowd. The tide makes the beach a lot smaller during high tide.

Herring Cove beach in Ptown- the water is the warmest I have experienced. They have put blue woven plastic mats to walk through the thick sand.

This is a more private beach in P-town. Known for couples and a strong lgbt sunbathing community, this area is fun and chill and very close to the center of the strip in P-town. Easily bike to it and park bikes in the lot. No...More

Yes, you can park for free or also take a ride by bike. It's about 20 min by bike from downtown.
