There's good walking down this beach and it's stunning but we heard from locals some storms reduced the beach width and carried off 20' of sand. But it's still beautiful and you can spend ages watching the sunset and the little birds running around. Lovely.

This summer we returned to Herring Cove Beach to relax and enjoy the view. At the time whales would be seen from the beach! What a sight. We again looked for beach glass and enjoyed the gentle breezes and views. Note that this beach is...More

Nightly stops here for anyone dreaming of getting some of the best sunset pictures imaginable. I've gotten amazing shots even when it's not perfectly clear. Sky is literally the limit! Let your eyes and imagination feast on this one of a kind pre-dusk photo op.

Spent the day on the beach. Beautiful and serene. Love it. And we could lose the suits to minimize tan lines (a plus).

Yes, you can park for free or also take a ride by bike. It's about 20 min by bike from downtown.

The best way to see the whales up close is to go to Provincetown and take a whale watching trip from MacMillan Wharf. Nantucket is an island about 30 miles out of Hyannis. The Cape and Island Steamship Authority has ships... More
