Watch out! I love walking out, either by the causeway or through the dune path at low tide and Herring Cove- take water and some footwear for rocks and hot sand- it is quite nice at late afternoon, but avoid the greenery. A huge amount...More

During low tide walk the marsh to the lighthouse. All natural beauty. You can also take the Provincetown Causeway to get here.

Just go out to the tip of the Cape. Bucket list material. It's disorienting. You'll see seals. Maybe a shark or whale. Ships. Shells. Sea. Sand. Salt.

Wood End Lighthouse is view-able from Commercial street or can be reached by walking the breakwater . Get the US Lights app for directions and history.

We got the grand idea to walk the breakwater, then head to Long Point, and then to Wood End. And that was before we climbed Pilgrim Monument. After such an arduous trek, you can only imagine my glee that neither of these lighthouses are open...More

This is a wonderful walk-hike to the light house. It takes about 45 minutes walking the break-water and then 30 minutes to get to the light house and the beach. Wonderful trip and beautiful views.
