We rented bikes and had a nice time. You had to street it to the trail from the shop, but otherwise it was a very nice ride along the trail but I would not want to do it in high winds of iffy weather,

You can park at the Beech Forest parking lot off Race Point Rd if driving. Otherwise, if coming from Ptown on bike, go to the car entrance of Herring Cove Beach, and follow the detour signs farther down the road. There's a... More

I LOVE Liz the owner of the Bike Shack on Shank Painter. I feel her bikes are the best in town. Tell her I told you. Enjoy the bikes and your travel on this GREAT TRAIL.

it can be done on bike or foot. When we did it, they had had rains that flooded out a part of the trail. This was not posted. So, we had to get creative in our going around the flooded parts which may have been difficult... More
