This is a place to see when you are staying in Sandwich. Right on Rt. 6A the museum is fun for the kids and you can check out the huge selection of home made jams jellies honey and my personal pick sweet relish.

Enjoyed seeing the inspiration for the Thornton Burgess Peter Cottontail children's books. The lush green trees and flowers as well as the little white house that contains the jam kitchen. The gift shop had a number of homemade jams for sale with free tastings. Cute...More

We were short on time and could not spend alot of time at the museum. What we did see was interesting and we will definitely go back when we have more time to spend there.

Go to Greenbriar Nature Center - Thornton Burgess runs this - and buy their home made jam - or watch a jam making demonstration in the jam kitchen. The jam is fantastic and makes good Christmas or hostess gifts.
