So happy to see the boardwalk rebuilt and reopened last weekend, after being badly damaged this past winter with several nor’easters. Brought our friends who were visiting us in Sandwich for the first time. They were duly impressed.

The Boardwalk is iconic, internationally recognized, and probably the heart and soul of the Town of Sandwich. It can be overcrowded in the summer, but an amazing place to experience, to walk over in the early evening, or jump off for a swim in the...More

We visited this when unfortunately the rain had begun to pour down as if in a monsoon. We did notice, however, that this looked wonderful. A drive to an area where there are bogs and much wetland and where the powers that be decided to...More

Great big break in the middle and so closed and no indication as to when or if it will re-open. Some info about this locally would have saved a wasted journey

We visited Sandwich at Cape Cod during the first week of May and unfortunately some of the boardwalk boards were broken so the whole walkway was closed. Still, at least we could you take nice pictures of the surrounding wetlands and houses.

After hearing about it for years, we wanted to finally visit the Sandwich boardwalk on our Cape Cod trip this year. The boardwalk is long, extending from a parking lot and over the dunes to the beach. It was blocked due to winter storm damage...More

The boards that make up the Sandwich Boardwalk are donated from both local residents, and businesses. By making these donations, your name is carved in the board for all to see. The Boardwalk was severely damaged during our second 'Noreaster this past Winter, and is...More

We enjoyed a walk to the Boardwalk, however we did not get past the bridge. Unfortunately our winter storms this year has destroyed several sections of the boardwalk. We were able to watch the osprey in their nest and the piping plovers in the marsh....More

It is about 3/4 of a mile in total. If you use the parking lot farthest from the beach, about a 20 minute walk in total

They do charge to park in the summer if you don't have a sticker. Unless you get there early, they don't ticket cars that get there before they start charging.
