Shawme is a wonderful treasure on Cape Cod. Most of the sites have a good buffer from the neighbors. These are primitive sites, no power or hookups. All of the sites I have used have had good drainage. The bathrooms have been clean and functional. There is a small playground for kids. The location is close to food shopping, a... More

We stayed for 2 nights in one of their yurts. The yurt was small but comfortable and we liked having the electricity. It was a little tight for 6 people. In addition it gets very hot during the day, although it airs out at night. The bathrooms were not very clean, and twice we found snakes in the shower. It's... More

I've stayed here now two times. For the price It can't be beat. The sites are relatively spacious and there are bathrooms and showers nearby. The bathrooms and showers are a little messy but hey it's camping.

Bathrooms were clean for a campground and kept stocked. I liked that bathrooms were conveniently located and in walking distance of all sites. The park requests that you don't bring your own wood; along with other items, you can purchase wood at the park store, which is conveniently open until 10pm (at least on weekends). My campsite was B64, on... More

We stayed here for two nights after spending 5 nights at Normandy park campground in Foxboro. We were at site a-9. It was great. At the top of a hill. Secluded. Quiet. I suggest that people not pick the "a" road if possible only because it is the main road in or out. Some cars drove too quickly past our... More

We spent two nights at Shawme Crowell State Park to attend the New Bedford Folk Festival on July 9. The sites are very spacious and private. About the only drawback to the sites is the fact that there is poison ivy everywhere in the park. The facilities are vary well maintained, including the bathrooms. We saw very few bugs, except... We stayed for three days at the campground. It's a convenient location to the Cape and all the surrounding areas. When you stay there you are given access to Scusset Beach as well which was nice. The campground is mainly wooded and in our area the sites were large. We could hardly see our neighbors. There were also plenty of... More

We were lost, tired, and pulled in and stressed to a full campground sign. Super sweet rangers helped out and found us a spot. Marriage saved. Ha! Ha! Beautiful. spacious, wooded rustic site for our 30' motorhome. Nobody packed in like sardines. Very relaxing. Thanks to the rangers!

Very nice. Quiet, picturesque. Washrooms were plentiful and clean. Nice play areas for the kids and a moment's drive from anything you'd want or need. I'd recommend the second half of the park for those looking for more treed and quiet camping. Our site (E4) was nice and shady and great for our family of 5.

At the entrance you are greeted by the friendly park rangers. The first site we booked was too close to neighboring sites and we were not happy about it. The next day we asked if we could change the sites and the good Rangers okayed. We packed our stuff and moved to a much larger private camping site. We stayed... More
