The lady at the gift shop told us how to find this large, unusual rock formation. Near the end of the Iron Bridge. Nice little shady viewing park to sit in with a couple benches. The area beside the Falls is industrial but the Potholes...More

You went to see the Bridge of Flowers just like we did. Take just ten more minutes and go see this amazing landscape. It is worth the stroll. And just like the Bridge of Flowers - it is free.

We were there to see the bridge of flowers and had to walk over to this area to check it out. Such an amazing eyeful! The striations in the rock - and of course the potholes - were amazing to see!

One of the more interesting geological phenomenon in western Massachusetts. Well worth visiting during low water periods especially.

Just amazing! When you realize how these rock formations were made. A short walk from the bridge of flowers.

Standing on the viewing area, leaning with my chin on the railing, I look at the water rushing over the dam and swirling over the worn plates below. I think of old technology, the possible uses this area had for the generations of inhabitants, the...More

I have always enjoyed coming to the potholes. Of course it was awesome when you had easy access to walk on the rocks. Now it is gated off, but you can still overlook the falls. It's still a good place to stop by. If you're...More

The potholes are a really interesting feature and are the only one of its kind that I know of in the area. I heard you used to be able to go in them but people got hurt so that's no longer the case. If you...More

No, you can't walk on them now. It's very sad. It used to be so much fun to sit and play and feel the warmth of the rocks and the coolness of the water in the potholes.
