A MUST see when visiting the Berkshires! This incredible collection of Rockwell's work will knock your socks off...You don't realize how prolific he was, and how particular he was until you hear his biography narrated by his son, in the video production. You will also see every Saturday Evening Post cover that he illustrated. Additional contemporary art is also exhibited.... More

This was our second visit to this museum which is outside Lenox, Ma. I love this museum as it shows some really great illustrative art from Norman Rockwell. It shows an artists view of American life from a coffee bar to a first kiss which is great and some show a great sense of humour. There are often other exhibitions... More

We really enjoyed seeing the illustrations. They brought back many memories--both of the illustrations themselves and of life a half century ago. The short film was helpful. The room with all of the Post covers overwhelmed.

Fabulous museum. This was a return visit and we enjoyed it even more. The collection is a fabulous slice of history. The museum is well presented, clean and puts a smile on your face. The special exhibit was well done and a great juxtaposition with the permanent collection. Highly recommend for all ages!!!

The paintings demonstrate Rockwell's eye for America, Americans, and the dynamics of American life society in the 20th century

My husband and I went to the Norman Rockwell Museum last week. We went approximately 20 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it then. Fantastic display of his artwork and covers on the Saturday Evening Post. Great video on his life. Touring his studio and seeing the sculpture on the grounds was the icing on the cake. Could spend quite some... More

There are short tours (maybe 30 minutes) included in admission price that are very informative. Be sure to time it so you can go on one. The website has a few family activity packets that can help children connect better to the paintings and many many suggestions for activities for teachers and parents. I made my kids each choose a... While the museum does not break any ground (especially if you are already familiar with his work and story), it was nice to tour through Rockwell's works (we briefly went through the exhibit that did not feature his works - just not what we were there for). His studio was our favorite part. The sculpture show on the lawn was... More

The museum has a varied display of Rockwell's work and the audio tour is excellent! Definitely invest the extra few dollars and do that.

Our family SO enjoyed our visit there! Norman Rockwell was incredibly talented, so detail oriented but more interesting for us was his social consciousness. He really cared about our country, was very patriotic and in his own artistic strokes brought to the forefront so many issues.
