The movie is a great start to this museum and home. Th.e docent told us how the large pieces were created. Very interesting. House was ok. Be sure to visit his studio.

beautiful surroundings. lots to learn about. home of designer and sculpturer of Lincoln Monument and other statues around the USA- Harvard, Concord, Chicago. Worth going on a tour.

Visited Chesterwood in August 2018. The guided tour was excellent. Walked the gardens as well as saw the sculpture space and the guest house. Great activity for a raining day

Chesterwood is the Summer home and Studio of Daniel Chester French, artist and sculptor of The Lincoln Memorial. This I s a small tidbit of what you will learn about this famous artist.

A very nice place to visit. See some beautiful sculptures. See the artist studio and living quarters. See the grounds with scenic Berkshire mountain background. We used our NARM reciprocal membership museum card for entree.
