Visit the bbg when there is a special event like a gallery opening or their spectacular fall festival. Otherwise it’s a little ho-hum.

Visitors center was locked during hours of operation, but we looked around anyway. Great children's garden, pretty area.

Very beautiful settings. We visited in September which meant most of the plants were not in bloom. (Probably more beautiful in Spring and Summer.) Children under 15 are free. Adults $15. Mosquitoes were out in force. We would have lingered longer if not for that.

A short stroll around the grounds leads you to a charming "Hobbit House" and lovely landscapes, all of which creates a soothing a relaxing Nature Walk. Well worth the visit!

It will take about two hours to amble through the whole area of gardens. I would say the kids might enjoy the kids garden area for maybe 45 min to an hour tops..🙄

The cost is $15/adult. I'm not sure about kids -- I don't have any.
