The Grist Mill is perhaps one of the most picturesque locations in the area. The mill is still in operation; flour produced is available for sale. There are a few signs about the history but the real delight is strolling through the beautiful (in any...More

We were in the area to do some Geocaching and to have dinner at the Wayside Inn. There are some old buildings here to be visited.

The landscape is lovely with the small stream running through the field and the great history of the old wheel and mill is fascinating.

The Wayside Grist Mill has been in operation for several centuries. Flour is still ground, and can be purchased, also the flour is used in nearby Wayside inn.

We visited the Grist Mill on a Saturday afternoon. This place is absolutely beautiful. The building and grounds are well maintained and beautiful everywhere you look, I would recommend making a visit here. Beautiful and educational.

Found the grist mill by accident whilst staying in Sudbury. Lovely Inn and chapel were busy with theme weddings but the walk along the grist mill paths were refreshing and relaxing!

You can read the few signs which are set all around the place and learn a bit about the place. To be honest - there is nothing special about the mill, even historically not. If you come from Europe you might need 3 minutes to...More

Just remember, you are traversing grounds that Washington traveled. Serene location for pictures, a nice stroll or simply to hang and meditate when the need for introspection strikes!
