Everyone in the medical field should check out this blast from the past! Museum pieces used in movies. Well thought out floor plan. You will leave learning something new.

Very interesting. A piece of history. Knowledgable staff. Don't forget to visit the cemetery. Hours are limited so plan a head.

This museum is wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable volunteer took me around. The building is amazing. Lots of original features. Lovely woodwork. Well preserved 1930s WPA murals. The hospital has an interesting history and the exhibits of medicine in the past are well done.

The museum is beautiful with artefacts that reminded me of how far we've come in eradication some diseases. It also gave a glimpse of the nursing profession and treatments.

I grew up right next to it, Little did I know I would be treated 50 years later. History all threw it.

This small museum should delight anyone interested in health, medicine, or history. I recommend, a tour of the old Tewksbury hospital grounds, which is offered occasionally. The museum is run by very knowledgeable, enthusiastic volunteers. If you don't spend some time talking with them you'll be missing the best part of the museum.

Thus small museum is on the grounds of the Tewksbury State Hospital. Many people don't realize it's there. It holds many interesting exhibits dealing with the history of medicine and public health. A must for anyone interested in this field.

Take a trip back in time and visit this museum. It is located in a wonderful old building on the beautiful grounds of the Tewksbury State Hospital. From the old switch board to an iron lung - you can see the amazing advances in Public Health.
