We were taking a day to drive to the tip of Cape Cod back in June and picked out a few lighthouses to visit. This was one of them. We were able to go up to the top of the lighthouse!!! I believe this is the only lighthouse they let you tour. It was a sunny day with clear view.... More

The Highland Light is located a short drive off the main road, has public restrooms and a nice little gift shop. Plus it's a great place for a family photo.

There's not too much to see here, but the lighthouse is beautiful and there's a short walk to get to it. Also a nice view overlooking the ocean. Nice little side trip that only takes about ten minutes.

It was located less than one mile off the 6 highway so it was a quick sight seeing stop on our way to Provincetown. Unfortunately, everything was closed during low season (and on January 1st). But it was a nice short walk to the light and and further to the coast line from the parking.

I was in the new England area photographing various lighthouses. Highland Light just happened to be one f them.

One of our favorites lighthouses and great place to visit when in Truro. About 1/2 mile walk from parking lot out to viewing area. nice little museum. Lighthouse is quaint and then views from area are unique albeit a small area. If you like lighthouses then its a must see

After passing the sign for years we decided to see the sight, and we were glad we did. This is classic Cape Cod. It's beautiful and has great views. And with the surrounding golf course it looks like a classic scene from a movie. We will be coming back in the summer to take the tour.

While on vacation, I wanted to play golf. We went to visit the Highland Light the day before to find a terrific 9/18 hole golf course connected to the venue. I made a tee time and played the next day. I am happy I did. The course is laid out very well with magnificent views of the ocean, the dunes,... More

Nothing social unless you're a golfer too as it's on a 'Links' course. Worth a brief visit especially if you're a compeletionist. The visitors' centre is shut to June'17!!

This lighthouse is a beautiful place to stop and see. The light had been moved closer to the shore as erosion was endangering it from falling into the sea. But you can stand on a deck where the light originally stood and look out over the ocean and hear the waves from atop the bluffs. The lighthouse was gorgeous but... More
