We really enjoyed biking through here, there are lots of birds to be seen, but we probably should have just walked it, as the trail is quite bumpy (although the fact that it was paved at all is appreciated).

Bike path needs to be updated, it's very bumpy, there is a lot of insects flying around in the middle of summer so wear lots of repellent.

We've been walking the tarred bike path for over 12 years and it has not been kept up. Furthermore, as of 2 years ago, the tics and now deer flies have taken over the trail. Hard to walk it but if on a bike, you...More

It is in dire need of resurfacing. It is very bumpy and has been taken over by the adjacent meadow in some spots. NPS has removed less dangerous roadways from its unigrid maps in places like Death Valley. This one should be removed from its...More

The bike path at Head of the Meadow is wonderful to ride, especially in the mornings. However it has developed many cracks and bumps from tree roots over the years and needs to be resurfaced. I hear that this may happen next year!

2 mile walk with no shade on a warm summer day. Great beach at the end of the trail. Will go back to this gorgeous beach when we can drive. Be sure to bring water when walking in the heat.

There is a small parking lot on a dirt road at High Head Road. From here it's a 10 minute walk on a sandy trail, through beautiful dunes, to the beach. I didn't see another soul both mornings I went. Heard plenty of birds. When...More
