This is a unique building, the only one of its kind in Finnish history: a dutch classic style castle from 1600 hundred, where Mannerheim was born. It acts as a museum and shows various styles of upper class living in 3 floors form various centcuries....More

A lot of Finnish history is packed into this beautiful old manor, carefully restored. The guided tour is recommended! The manor grounds/parks offer a nice walk - and there is a cafe/resraurant in the old rose garden that offer an ok lunch.

A nice place to stop off if you are travelling to Naantali from Turku. (Or visa versa) We had a lovely guide who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The Manor itself was well presented and we a lovely local drink from the area in the cafe.

The entry is possible only with a guide (which is good I think, by your own you wouldn´t get very much out of the building), the guided tours take place about every half an hour on summertime. The guidence is in Finnish; if you need...More
