A lovely walk

Just a nice place to get lost for an hour or so. There is an overwatch where you can see out over Waltham.

An area of the city that could be a great family outing opportunity is marred by the fact that it is unsafe. Plenty of parking at the base, and a nice strenuous walk up the hill, but the park is adjacent to a poor area of town and we felt unsafe. The area is not as clean as possible and... More

We walked up to see the view at Boston Rock on January 1st. The weather was perfect for a brisk walk and the view of Boston, Belmont and the Blue Hills was superb! This is a great take in any time of the year. The gate closed in November for cars so you must walk the paths to get here.

This is a fabulous spot to go for a quick hike. There's a fabulous vintage radar tower on one of the peaks. There was a nest of ravens on the top of the tower for years. There are several trails, some steep, others winding. I bring my dog with me as do others I see along the trails. Wild turkey,... More

Winding narrow tree covered road takes you to the topmost point where you can inhale pure air and enjoy serene view. Relax and feel abundance of nature and even make vibrations if you are two. Not to overlook if, you are around the Waltham area.

The Ridge Trail is a great hike, from the top of Big Prospect, down a terraced trail and back up to Little Prospect, ending with the view of Boston from the top of Little Prospect.

Prospect Hill Park has a lot to offer including, hiking trails a playground and now mini golf! It is an 18 hole course which is not so challenging that small children will be frustrated by it. Likewise, it is just challenging enough not to be boring for all ages. The theme of the course is "all things Waltham". It is... More

The hill had a surprisingly quick elevation change which made for some good exercise. The view of Boston and Cambridge were spectacular. Really nice considering the area has so few hills. There's plenty of parking at the bottom. And there's parking and picnic areas spread out all the way to the top.

Right down the street from our hotel you would never guess this park would be there. Quiet, out in nature, great views of the city in the distance.

Nice walk in the outdoors on a marked roadway up Prospect Hill. Very safe place to be as it is patrolled by local police. Several pavilions with tables and seating to rest and have a picnic. There are grills available and am not sure if there is a charge for the pavilion. Bring bug spray and sun block with you.... More
