In under a month, we will be renewing our family membership to the Wenham Museum! Great value for a place to get away with the kids, and now an even better experience! For my 2-year old--TRAINS! He loves the family atmosphere and I love that he can now play with trains while dressed like a princess (I'll upload a photo... More

We visited with a toddler boy to see their special exhibit "Train Time," which runs from November through February, and the permanent train gallery which has 21 trains in layouts. "Train Time" is, apparently, an annual display. The child enjoyed the trains greatly. Each display had a button, which started the trains, which was a great hit. For a true... More

We used this museum as a pit stop on the way to Boston to give our kids some time to move around. It is quaint and play-based. Very much a throw-back in a good way. Staff was friendly and they had a great gift shop.

I enjoy this museum. It is great if you are interested in local or colonial history. The doll and toy exhibit is interesting for adults and children alike. The overall atmosphere is quaint and charming.

The Wenham Museum is the perfect place to bring young children! It's affordable, interactive, hands-on! The trains were perfect for my train lover, and the fairy-tale dress up was a blast for both kids. It's small and not crowded, so it feels safe and calm to be there with two very active kids who may run in any direction at... More

We went to see NELUG's Lego train display which I guess happens every year. While we were there we also saw the train room downstairs, and the other exhibits too. This is a great place! If you are local to it you have a real gem in your midst. Would I go frequently? Not unless I lived nearby and had... More

What a wonderful museum. So full of history and so much for young and old. I love the way children can have hands on exploring while adults read and see the history. The exhibits are changed periodically but the trains are a must to see

The Wenham museum is a small local museum with an extensive collection of antique dolls and various gauge train displays. There are also lots of hands-on activities for the pre-school set. A fun place for kids and grandparents without being overwhelming.

This is my 4 year-old boy’s favorite museum by far. They have a wonderful train room in the basement that the whole family enjoys and a fun little toy room with games and he always seems to easily make new friends here. We have a very affordable annual membership now and have been 4 times already. Friendly staff and easy... More

I came here with my ten-year-old granddaughter, who I knew would be delighted with the doll collection, the dollhouses, and the assorted miniature furniture and accessories. She--and I--were not disappointed. What I didn't expect was how fascinated she (what am I saying? we!) would be with the model train layouts. In addition to the few on the main floor, there... More
