Took the ferry from Woods Hole to Martha's Vineyard with my car for buissnes. It was efficient. I arrived prior my specified online booked time and both times I managed to get on earlier. I don't travel by ferry often so I enjoyed the trip.

Only $18 each got my husband and me to Martha's Vineyard and then, back the next day. Tom at Dockside Inn on Martha's Vineyard (whom I'd called with questions about off-season ferrying/lodging) had detailed accurately how to go about it all so that with Steamship...More

If your not flying you have to take the ferry to get to MV or Nantucket. It's very comfortable and affordable.

The Steamship Authority in Woods Hole is the location for ferries to the nearby islands including Martha’s Vineyard. The downfall is that there is no parking near the ferry terminal except for handicap slots. We had to park in a lot in Falmouth and take...More

Be forewarned: you must park your car and board a shuttle bus several miles up the road from the ferry. Many many people were ranting and angry about being unaware of this prior to arriving at the ferry dock in woods hole. Once you park...More

We parked in the Palmer lot and there was a shuttle to get us to and from ferry dock. Once that lot is full, they'll direct you to another lot with shuttles too. It worked great!
