Tried to visit this home while on the Cape. It said online that the home was open through October 15th. Despite the fact that we tried to visit on Friday the 12th, the house was closed and the phone message said it was closed for...More

This place was great! We had a tour guide named Dan who was excellent. Very informative. A lot of great information about the area and the various sea captains that lived there. 15 dollars for 3 adults and 3 kids. Highly recommend

The enthusiastic tour guides covered the history and a mystery or two, upstairs and downstairs. As is often the case with tours, it's the side comments that may be the most revealing. Two people on the tour with us said they were from the neighboring...More

I found this museum very interesting especially if you get a docent who brings it to life for you. Interesting portraits and stories of the different captains and their wives. Proclamations by Abraham Lincoln and James Madison on display.

We visited the museum in September and the House was open from Thursday - Sunday with tours at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00, but those hours were only good through mid-October. Not sure if it is open during the winter.
