Want an intresting unique place with lots of history for your growing children to see? Awesome collection of one of a kind furniture from the woods of Michigan itself. It's woth it to leave a donation to the place.. inside the main room they will have their hat or something to take a well deserved donation.

A little difficult to find but well worth the search. Staff was very polite and helpful. The exhibit was beautifully displayed and the audio tour provided with the small admission fee really explained the craftsmanship and care taken to make each piece. The Shrine of the Pines is a fitting tribute to this artist.

I have summered in Baldwin all my life, but I have only visited the Shrine a few times. It was fun to share the experience with friends. The guide was much better than the last time I went. The items on display, and the lodge itself were amazing, as was the view of the Pere Marquette River.

I've been going to Baldwin for my whole life but had never been to shrine of the pines until about five years ago. Since my first time going, I have been a couple more times and have seriously enjoyed each time. My most recent trip, (August 2019), we had one of the best tour guides, it was very well done! There are tons of interesting pieces of woodwork and great stories to go with. The grounds are gorgeous and there are also some very well maintained trails for a nice little hike. The property butts up to a stream and is very tranquil. My kids were very interested in all the unique woodwork and very much enjoyed our trip. There's also a little picnic area!
