We camped there for first time. What a blast all the tricker treaters dressed in costumes and the parents to. Contests and Movies all weekend. Everyone was totally family oriented. We will go again next year.

Went there to go for a walk and check out the beach , it is nice but quite a long walk for very young kids , older folks or someone disabled , a closer access to the beach would be nice

We got in with my friend's state park passport. We saw the lagoon and hiked to the beach. Not sure if the bay is the cleanest place to swim, there was a dead fish on shore but that could have been discarded by a fisherman. (this was my first time on Lake Huron). I did get my feet wet and... More

Bay City State Park is a perfect park for the "up north" feeling without leaving our home town of Bay City. Nice size lots....bathrooms/showers kept clean and new. Lots of activities going on in the park and near park. Day use area is clean and kept up and offers a water park and play station for children, nature center and... More

This is an inexpensive way to stay in the Bay City Area. The campground was loud on Labor Day weekend and made for a rough first night. There was no park patrol to enforce quiet time. The second night was much better since the campground was empty. The bathrooms were very dirty and smelled. The beaches were pretty good and... More

So much to do here, it's best to just splurge and buy the yearly park pass. We have been here numerous times as a family, as well as with our parents, and friends. Everyone we bring here say how much they love it as well. The beach is long and even on a "busy" day, you aren't crowded on one... More

Great park! Wonderful, paved biking trails. Nice educational center. Good hiking trails. Nice, roomy campground. Clean bathrooms. Attentive staff. We went with our niece (7) and nephews (8 & 3). It rained all weekend, so we could not use the splash park or beach, but everyone had a great time.

We had a fantastic time at Bay city recreation, very clean, staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Campsites were clean and the weekend we were there very quiet. I love the handicapped facilities.
