Great place to camp. Childrens water park near beach. Bring along bikes, wagons and other walking accessories. The hike to the beach will take some time but worth it.

The beach was very clean the cleanest it's been in years. Lots of people enjoying it. People were using the picnic area and there was no shortage of boats at the place they call boaters Beach. The Beach is located across from the State Park.

Bay City State Park area is a very well up-kept family park. They have a nice little water park for smaller children, a very large section of Beach, along with grills here and there.

Stayed Sun. Through Fri. Had a very nice lot, big and sunny. The weather cooperated. The only drawback is that all Mi State Parks are now 100% reservable. Must make reservations 6 mos. in advance. No more enjoying the Great Lakes state by road trips!...More

I was impressed with the walkway around the lagoon, which is a large pond. The beach was close and very nice. I also liked the visitor center. We had a picnic near the visitor center. Very nice!

This recreation area was popular for locals. There's long beach along the shore of the Saginaw Bay with 7-mile trails and wetland. They have everything for families: playground, water park, picnic area, and stage for concert.

We were there in the summer, and it was dry. There were no fall colors and we do not live there, so I can't tell you what it is like now. Good luck!

I was there after hours, they had a bathroom building and another building that was closed. I didn't see anyplace that was big enough to hold Kayak rentals.
