Waste of time and money. Slow, like 10 mph tops. Scenery obstructed by brush the whole trip. Screaming toddlers. Give me my 90 minutes back.

This is a fun way to experience train travel in the 20s or 30s. It's a relatively short ride (maybe 5 miles each direction). The all volunteer crew were friendly, helpful and courteous. One comment: this Saturday departure was advertised as an EnterTRAINment Excursion that features musicians who play railroad and other fun songs. We never saw any entertainers. Turns... More

The C&M Railway is a short-run road between two quaint old Michigan cities. The entire system is very well maintained with everything looking and running like it clickity-clacked right out of history. The staff - all volunteers who love railroading - are pleasant, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer a question or assist a passenger. The "regular" runs are relaxing,... More

We dressed up ourselves. We brought cowboy hats and bandanas. They had characters on the train that gave out "money" and "jewelry" "in case there were robbers, you know." The kids ate it up! Midway through our train ride, ten riders on horseback dressed in cowboy regalia burst out of the cornfields guns a-blazing. Gunfire rang out and the "robbers"... More

You don't get to see that much from the train. You go through some farmland, and then basically go back. The lure for this attraction is the opportunity to ride on a historical railroad. They do offer special events. Warning, no air conditioning, so be prepared to get a little warm in the summer. There are some old engines and... More

Very enjoyable train ride. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. The volunteers interacted with all very well.

The scenery was interesting. Needs more input from staff. Family was somewhat disappointed. I think they do have some special rides. I think our ride was in July of 2013.

Went for a ride on the Santa train out of coopersville. This was a lot of fun. Had my wife and I our daughter and two grandchildren 5yrs and 1yr. It was a great experience for all. The train is very historic and just fun. We read the papers they sent us with the tickets and it was pretty clear... More

They do it well making the trip enjoyable for the little ones. The train itself is old and in need of further restoration but being a totally volunteer organization I am sure funds are tight. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This trip is for the kids so keep that in mind if you are looking for a romantic... More

We had never heard of this attraction, but we given tickets so we thought we'd give it a try. The website made it sound interesting so we took off an afternoon from work and drove out there. I'm glad we didn't pay for it. Perhaps the special event rides would be more interesting. The regular ride consists of sitting in... More
