You really have to want to see this area. It is on the way to nowhere. You can't get out without back tracking. If you make it to Copper harbor you have to take the Brockway Mountain Drive. Was once a local secret, Not anymore....More

This place is wonderful at sunrise or even better at sunset for colors. If you are a photographer, be sure to get enough sky into the image. The clouds are outstanding. Try a couple of pano's because the terrain is too big for a single...More

The drive up to Brockway Mountain and then along Hwy 26 between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor is tremendous in early- mid October when the leaves are in color. Take a pair of binoculars and a Camera {and a heavier jacket} along for when you...More

My wife and I decided to take this drive on a whim, and we were sure glad that we did. We started off on the "Copper Harbor" end of the drive. The road takes a steep incline as you travel up the mountain, but the...More

The road is very rough, not very scenic. Narrow road. I was a little disappointed. The overlook is worth the drive. The overlook is very close to Copper Harbor. If you didn't want the long bumpy drive, you can easily access the overlook from Copper...More

Never get tired of the trip up Brockway. Drive down near Eagle Harbor on 26 and come back to Copper Harbor via Brockway Mountain Drive. Much prettier.

Always a treat, the mountain was hitting peak colors this week. We saw Northern Lights on 10-13-17. We drove up 3 times this trip.

I've been there several times and during every season of the year but nothing beats the fall colors. On a clear day you can see Lake Superior, the town of Copper Harbor, and wonderful forest mountain view. A must visit anytime of year. FYI: snow...More

Missed taking this mountain drive the first time coming to copper Harbor and made the second trip specifically to see the overlook that it offered and how far you can see into the horizon, especially during fall color season. Well worth the 3 hour trip...More

We were up there in mid August. I live about 4 hours south, and I can tell you we are already raking leaves here. I would think by mid October the leaves up there will be long gone. Not to mention the cold air will surely... More

No it is not the same trail system. I just did a search online and Brockway Mountain Drive goes off of Hwy 26 and heads inland. Where Hwy 26 goes along the lake shore.
