Small area and mostly closed up.

I went in the middle of the week. Most places were closed, thus cannot give a honest or fair rating at this time.

Twenty-something

Visited Greektown after asking around for a good area to grab a drink with lively atmosphere and music. This area is so much fun! The crowd seemed a little younger. I went to level two rooftop bar. Mostly hip hop music. Solid drinks. Great vibes. Definitely would recommend to twenty somethings looking to party/dance.

Great Time In The D
Jul. 2019
We absolutely love visiting Detroit and that is mainly for the fun we have hanging out in Greektown. Detroit truly has to be created one of the most incredible transformations I know of. There is so much to offer now and Greektown is one of the high points. We can't wait to return!

Service keeps declining
Feb. 2020 • Business
I’ve stayed here for years but every time the service and employee’s attitudes get worse. A majority of the hotel and casino staff are acting like your bothering them to do order or ask for anything.

Tonight Evelyn made sure to talk and take her time so that the 11:00 could come around and she can tell me she was closed. I was there for ten minutes. When I asked for a manager of course none are around. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, i will be from now on.

The MGM is very close and closer to the hockey rink, or the downtown Weston is great too with wonderful staff.

Greektown

Greektown is ok but not like it was 30 years ago. I can remember waiting outside in the cold at 3 AM to get into Hellas on a Saturday night. The good old days.

Delightful Greektown!
Nov. 2019
Such a fun little corner of Detroit! Great restaurants, pizza places, shops of all sorts jumbled in cosy fashion. One can go exploring or just stay in Greektown for shopping, dinner, and at least a dozen desserts!

Detroit's version of Chicago's Wrigleyville
Dec. 2019
Greektown is a historic commercial and entertainment district in Detroit, Michigan. Located northeast of the heart of downtown Detroit, along Monroe Avenue between Brush and St. Antoine Streets, it is situated between the GM Renaissance Center, Comerica Park and Ford Field. On game days, whether the Tigers or the Lions are playing, Greektown turns into Detroit's version of Chicago's Wrigleyville or the fan-mania that develops around Busch Stadium in St. Louis or Fenway Park in Boston. The district is dominated by Greek-themed restaurants and includes St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Second Baptist Church, the Atheneum Suite Hotel and the Greektown Casino, one of only three gambling houses in the city. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The area was first settled in the 1830s by German immigrants. But most of them left in the earliest years of the 20th century and new Greek immigrants moved in. By the 1920s, the area was becoming primarily commercial rather than residential as Greeks established restaurants, stores and coffeehouses. Today, Greek music is played on Monroe Street throughout the day. Popular restaurants that draw locals and tourists include New Parthenon, Golden Fleece, Laikon Cafe, Cyprus Taverna, Pegasus Taverna, Pizza Papalis and Fishbone's Rhythm Kitchen Cafe. It's easy to get in and out of the area because the city's elevated downtown transit system, known as the Detroit People Mover, has a station at the Greektown Casino on Beaubien Street between Monroe and Lafayette.
