We were visiting the area and were tipped off to the building by a local resident who had worked in the building for a long time. I like architecture and appreciate Art Deco, so a few blocks were no problem. We looked only at the first couple of floors. They were jaw dropping: nothing on the outside prepares you for... More

Pure Detroit does excellent tours of this great monument in the heart of the once famous financial district. No charge but tips are welcomed. Fascinating facts from the vault in the basement to the top floor. Lobby is so impressive when you entered

Pure Detroit tour was very well done - informative and entertaining guide. He shared a lot about the architecture and motivation for the way this was built. Great tour.

Stop in on the main floor to catch a glimpse of this amazing building. There is a bank and a Pure Detroit store on the first level, with some great Detroit items.

A friend recommended a tour of this building. Wow, knock my socks off beautiful! The tour was fantastic and really highlighted the history of the building and the city. The Tiffany clock made me literally drop to my knees (I'm a Deco clock collector). A glimpse into the Golden Age of Detroit and the Roaring 20's. A new restaurant will... More

Everytime I come to downtown Detroit I have a wander through this gorgeous 1929 skyscraper. This building is truly a cathedral of commerce. It rises 39 stories in the city's downtown financial core. The exterior is a unique terra cotta color with Mayan Revival accents that carry through to the massive 3 story lobby-all done with an overall Art Deco... More

A Gorgeous Deco building in downtown Detroit. Beautifully preserved, a fabulous lobby that shows you how prosperousDetroit must have been in the early 20th century. Make sure to visit the Pure Detroit shop to get some great homemade home grown local products to take home 🏡.

Just two steps inTO the Guardian Building will bring an instant understanding that this is not your run-of-the-mill"glass box"skyscraper!! You will agree that the craftsmanship of the"good ole days"was implemented wholeheartedly in the construction of this 495 foot sculpture of the"Roaring Twenties"!! Take your best camera when visiting herein,as you'll be compelled to take plenty of pictures of the magnificent... More
