First, there were no panels next to the token machines explaining how it costs nor how it works. We had to ask locals to find out. It costs $0,75 for a token which grants you one ride (unlimited stops). The train is small (two cars) and fits about 40 people in each car. It rides along a circular high-rise beam... More

We used the people mover to and from the Fox. It was clean and there was police presence to and from the concert. The mood was festive and everyone squeezed in to allow others to board. Way to go Detroit!

No bad for 75 cents. I was unsure of what the condition of the people mover would be in but it was clean and not very crowded. It makes a loop for the GM center over to Greek town and then loops back. I would take it again if weather was not the best. There is a stop right next... More

We use the people mover to get around Detroit. Easy to use, and safe. Free on Thanksgiving. You can view maps online.

This was one of the best things about our visit. Parking is expensive and this saved us a ton. At .75 a trip we were able to do lots of exploring in the city.

There's not a ton of stuff to do in Detroit besides cars and sports, and since we didn't have that much free time, I wanted to see the city, so the People Mover seemed like a great way to do that. I vaguely recall hearing the name in some context but I had no idea what it was. Essentially it... More

Easy to get around downtown Detroit with stops at all the major areas. Felt very safe and the ride was only 75 cents. The elevated cars are clean too. This is the way to go if you want to go out to eat before a game or event.

Parked at Greektown and there is a People Mover stop right there. The wait wasn't long, took it to Joe Louis Arena, as were most of the people aboard! Great way to get there directly and quickly without worrying about parking. Didn't have to worry about traffic, just hopped back on after the show and spent some time in Greektown.... More

I wanted to check out the rail system. The cost is very resonable. There are quite a few stations to get on/off the train. The train runs a basic circle in the Downtown/Greektown area.

I stayed in a hotel connected to the People Mover (super convenient) so I took a ride around town. It was kind of cool how it hangs in the air so you get a different view of the city, but a little scary at the same time. I am sure it serves a purpose for locals, but I didn't know... More
