Overview
More
The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully automated light rail system that operates on an elevated single-track loop in Detroit's central business district. Launched in 1987, the system’s 13 stations provide quick connections between the courts and administrative offices of several levels of government, sports arenas, exhibition centers, major hotels, and commercial, banking and retail districts. Service is frequent and unencumbered by vehicle or pedestrian traffic, and at just 75 cents per ride, it’s the best bargain in town!

We are staying at the courtyard by Marriott and we were heading to a tigers game. Grabbed the People Mover from the hotel to the field. Quick ride, and it was only 3 quarters to ride!

For only 75 cents you can get to alot of places, well worth the money , only wish that it covered more of detroit as waiting for the Q line can be a pain.

Took the people mover just to sight see. Runs frequently and entire loop was just 15 minutes, if visiting for the first time it’s s good way to get your bearings

Love the people mover, it gets you anywhere you need to get pretty fast. My only problem is it isn't very clean, but other than that it is a real asset to Detroit. I'd recommend it!

Thanks for your comment. We've share it with our internal teams and hope to make a better presentation during events with large crowds and local holidays like Opening Day.

The People mover runs frequently, is cheap and a fast way around town, I wish that it went closer to Little Caesar’s Arena

Thank you for your recent trip on the People Mover. The closest station to LCA is Grand Circus Park Station - from there it's about a seven-minute walk. Now that spring has arrived, we hope to see you soon.
