MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.

Great experience. Smooth transportation system. Safe and protected constantly by the MSU police. Lots of amenities and facilities. Lots of restaurant options. Good for biking, jogging, and other outdoor sports. Archery facilities were a nice addition. Classrooms were clean and nothing felt old or ancient. Parking was always full of course. Bookstore was expensive like in other universities. Labs were... More

This is a beautiful, well-maintained campus. They have a lot of interesting architectural styles, an art museum, a planetarium and a dairy store where they sell ice cream, cheese and more made on campus. Well worth a visit, even if you are not looking at colleges.

Michigan State is a beautiful land grant campus. Yes it's my alma mater...so I'm a little biased. Best way to see the HUGE campus is by bicycle.

MSU is a great place all year round, but it really shines in the summer. The campus is drop-dead gorgeous this time of year. It is too bad those most of the students leave in early May, as they never get to see this incredible place in full bloom. Though, it doesn't hurt that summertime is when most of the... More

We live in Ann Arbor so one would think we would be U of M fans. To the contrary, we are not. Our eldest child attended MSU. She was accepted to both institutions. Contrary to popular folklore held by many Ann Arborites, MSU is NOT the inferior "second choice." She received an excellent education at MSU, her professors were very... More

Beautiful mix of old and new buildings sprawled over the large campus. Lots of green space has been kept. Great college campus feel. A fun place to visit and explore.

Michigan State University has a beautiful campus. It is important that whenever you visit that you take the time to explore campus. The north side of campus has the older buildings and it is a neat experience checking out the student life there. The Union building is a place you definitely need to go, free bowling for studnets on Wednesday... More

The most beautiful campus in the land, IMHO. Be sure to see Beaumont Tower, the ivied covered walls of old campus buildings, the new Broad Art Museum, have some ice cream made at the Dairy Store. Visit the Cow Barns on South Campus, the Horticulture Gardens (better in warm weather), the Butterfly House, and just walk the very walkable grounds.... More

Lots of places to see on campus and many great events throughout the year. Check out the catalog at Wharton center or sporting events at the Munn, Breslin or Spartan Stadium. The MSU museum is a great stop for the family. If the Bug House is open you'll want to stop in and see the collection. The planetarium on the... More
