The log slide overlook is a quick jaunt off the highway and worth the short walk in to see the log slide overview. You can see some beautiful forest on the way there and enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Superior when you arrive. For...More

Deep sand trail to precarious overlook led to sheer beautiful view. Only drawback was rushing back to truck where we had to leave our dog. Sun was shining and no shade was available.

So amazing and informative! How our ancestors moved logs was very inventive. Views of Lake Superior are breathtaking. The dunes are massive!

Very interesting place. Hard to imagine sliding logs down to the lake. Short walk from parking lot. Do not try to slide down if you are over 50 or in poor shape! Great views!
