I had some time to kill before a business appointment near the museum and ducked in. It is a very stylish architecture building in the heart of Grand Rapids. Built before the modern era of mega Presidential libraries it is befitting a very modest and some would say accidental President, Gerald Ford. What struck me was how much turmoil existed... More

The Gerald R. Ford Museum tells the history of his life, including adoption at an early age, becoming an Eagle Scout, a WW2 Hero, and a congressman who always put his country first. His brief term as President is highlighted with many details, exhibits, and replicas of White House rooms. There is a good gift shop, and other Museums nearby... More

Staying right across the river and elected to take this in on my business trip. Very interesting on his legacy and history as a president. You tend to forget everything that happen in his short three years as president. Easy to walk around, and not overly full of items, just the right amount.

The story of our 38th president, Gerald R. Ford, is extraordinarily unique in our country's history, as circumstances meant that he is the only president, to date, to have never been elected. The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is a spectacular showcase of his life, his rise to politics, and how he became our president. His one-of-a-kind story is fabulously... More

Despite his relatively brief presidency, Gerald Ford led an interesting a colorful life, spanning early college football, WWII, 25 years in Congress and unprecedented turmoil in the nation's highest office. These periods are covered in a lot of detail with good exhibits. The former president and First Lady are buried on the grounds. Definitely worth a couple of hours. Lovely... More

Having traveled to several presidential libraries, this one ranks high. First it is a beautiful building on the banks of the Grand River. impressive lobby with a piece from the Berlin wall. Upstairs you will walk through Jerry Ford's life and career. There are several short films that move you through the major turning points of Ford's career. Well thought... More

Great place to take the family and look around. Not to expensive. Takes around 1 or 2 gours to look around and explore everything they have to offer. Nice handicapp accommodations and close to nearby hotels and great restaurants.

The state of the art displays and exhibits are very interactive. There are atleast four movie scrolls to sit, relax and watch. How many people knew Ford was lucky to be alive? They have the gun that was meant for him. The grounds are also very nice and the fointain is a beauty when they get it going for the... More

My son and I went to the museum not expecting much. And wow, were we wrong. It was filled with amazing pictures from the 1940's to current day. I just moved to the area and it was an educational Grand Rapids history lesson. The Ford family made many contributions to the area and were very well loved.
