This is a nice example of FLW architecture (restored in the late 80's and managed now by Steelcase) and we enjoyed seeing it, but we had a time commitment to head to the airport and didn't realize that there would be a 25 minute intro video to sit through and that we would then have a docent-guided tour. This isn't... More

The extensive restoration of this house, along with the care and attention to detail in the furnishings, makes this a really worthwhile house to visit. Grand Rapids is lucky to have this house and the neighborhood surrounding it is an added bonus since it represents the beautiful homes of the furniture barons.

We throughly enjoyed our tour of the restored and renovated Meyer Maye house. A trip back in time to see first hand hey Frank Loyd Wright masterpiece. Great way to experience one of many of Grand Rapids "Diamonds in the Rough".

If you are a frank lloyd wright fan look no further than your local backyard to find one of his beautiful creations. My father in law and I (both FLW fans) have toured this home several times, each time finding something new and interesting. Be sure to check the schedule as the hours are sporadic.

After a brilliant 30 minute documentary film on the incredible restoration of this FLW designed private home your tour guide takes you into a true prairie style home. The degree of painstaking work to bring the structure and many of its furnishings back to nearly original appearance is amazing. Plan on nearly 2 hours to spend in this historical piece... More

I was training in Grand Rapids in the mid- 80's before Steelcase purchased this home. So at that time, I was able to only visit the exterior. This past weekend I stopped in and was delighted that I was able to visit the interior. One cannot visit the home without being lead by a docent. The tour begins in the... More

This home is absolutely gorgeous and has been meticulously renovated back to its original 1909 state. The tour takes you through many of the rooms and brings alive how detail-oriented and thorough Mr. Wright was about the homes he built. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys touring the works of Frank Lloyd Wright.

This building was painstakingly restored by Steelcase. The tour is FREE, the people are some of the most dedicated and passionate people I have had the pleasure to meet. So much information of the history of the restoration, give yourself lots of time - there is a 1/2 hour video before the tour starts.
