Stopped in on a whim and it was the best money we spent so far! All kids ages 7/11/16 had a blast, we fed fish and each kid caught 2 rainbow trout as well. Definitely worth the time!

Visited the hatchery this past Saturday. We were camping near by and wanted to find something that our kids 5,4 and 3 would enjoy. There is admission to get into the hatchery which was disappointing since the hatchery in Oden, near Petoskey does not. Fortunately kids 4 and under are free! Admission for my wife was $4 and 5 year... More

If you go and spend the $4 to get in, spend $1 more to get the bag of fish food. The trout will eat like crazy. Don't forget to toss pellets into the actual river where you can see HUGE trout feeding as well. There is also a hatchery area where you can fish for dinner. The charge is 50... More

Visited the Grayling Fish Hatchery with my wife. We enjoyed walking around and looking at the fish being raised. There were small trout to large trout by the hundreds. Was informed they are being raised for food not for stocking rivers and streams. The staff was wonderful to talk with and they made the visit better than expected. Great place... More

Took a little trip from Gaylord to Graying. Looked online and decided to try it out. We had a great time and I am not just talking about the kids. The guys that were there that day were very friendly and nice. My girls are 4 and almost 2. They got the biggest kick out of feeding the fish and... More

Limited hours and days depending on the time off year. Summer is wed-sat noon-6 for example and currently, they are only open to public Memorial day through Labor Day. So, do yourself a favor and check to ensure they are open before you head out. This is a small site and self guided tour. However, they will provide tackle and... More

Took a family with 4 little children and my family with a 6 month old. EVERYONE had a good time. Even the 6 month old like watching the fish splash around. Great family time.
