We love going to Hazel Park Raceway. It's as much fun to sit in the bleachers and watch the people as it is to watch the horses race around the track. Betting is easy and fun, and with the low $2 minimum bet, you can have all the excitement of winning without risking very much. Friday night is the best... More

Staff were friendly and accommodating We purchased gift certificates which were a great deal. It included a tour of the paddock and stables . Our tour guide, aka the General Manager, was knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information. I would recommend you skip the buffet..food was dry and a big disappointment. Gambling was fun, even though we were losers.

Pulled our visit forward when we learned they were closing 5 weeks early. Easy access for this handicapped person and there was an excellent buffet including sausage and peppers and onions and thin-sliced roast beef and gravy. 16 ounce Budweiser and Labbatt's for $2 may have helped a good natures crowd of several thousand. Fortunately, we were at a table... More

Wife & I are "semi"regular visitors. Clean facilities with decent drink prices. Friendly & helpful staff at every turn. Crowd is decent and very seldom is there a disturbance. I would highly recommend for family or fate night. Horses are far from Churchill quality but races are competitive & keep both novice & experienced fans (betters) entertained.

Food is ok but the real draw is being able to sip a glaa of wine while you watch the horses cross the finish line.

After more than 30 years, thoroughbred racing is back at Hazel Park. Good drink prices on a Fri. or Sat. night. Fun way to start an evening. Plenty of parking spots and very close to 696 and 75.

I have lived in the area for many years, but this is the first time I went to Hazel Park Raceway. I read an article how thoroughbreds were racing on Friday and Saturday nights and was intrigued as only harness racing had been there for many years. The raceway was rebuilt in about 2005 and the place looks fantastic. Admission... More

Thoroughbred racing has begun at Hazel Park and along with it is a rarity, people actually coming to the track to watch live racing instead of just using off track betting. There were thousands of people at Hazel park last Saturday night, just having a good time with great weather, and a small bunch of nags racing short distances. evening... More

Glad the runners are back, fun to watch and bet a race or two. Plus it's great for the city of Hazel Park.

What a disappointment! and a total waste of money! I thought it would be a great experience to take my 2 1/2 year old daughter and husband to the circus for Father's Day, along with my mom, sister and her husband.... but boy.. were we disappointed... The picture on the Shrine Circus' website showed elephants and tigers... (now it's since... More
