Good idea and fun
Jul. 2020 • Family
The great experience. However very crowded. We have been there before opening to be able to go on easily. A lot of walking trails around. Also a wonderful view from the rock nearby. Really worth to visit

Mountain Coaster
Oct. 2018 • Family
Fun for the kids and adults as well.

There are bathroom facilities in a building before you pay for the mountain coaster. Also, there is a nice playground for the kiddos next to it. The playground is awesome and my kids, ages 10 and 7 years old, loved it (as well as the coaster!)

Closes: 17:00. Adults 3.00€, Kids: 2.50€. Closes in heavy, wet weather.

Enjoyable Ride!
Aug. 2018
We went on sunny summer afternoon and the queue was not long at all as kids in Rhineland were already back at school by mid-August. We took a bus near St. Goarhausen's ferry point which cost us EUR10.20 on a family return ticket to Loreley Visitor Centre. It was just a short 20 minutes ride on the bus. The toboggan ride took between 5 -10 minutes per loop depending on your desired speed on the bobsled. It's safe for children and our kids thorougly enjoyed it. Ensure to purchase the 6 rides deal for a discounted price.

Good fun morning out
Aug. 2018 • Couples
We visited on a sunny weekday morning in late August. Huge queues for the bobsleigh as several school trips there so we had a long wait for our rides. The kids had no sense of queueing and thought nothing of running to the turnstile and pushing in! However, we were on holiday and the kids were very polite and we eventually got our turn. The guy operating the ride gave clear instructions and off we went. Good fun and you can go as fast or slow as you wish. According to the information leaflet speeds of up to 40 km per hour are possible. We had no slow coaches in front of us (school kid teens are fearless!!), so we had several high speed runs down the luge. Our highest speeds were around 35km/h using no brakes at all. For those wanting a more sedate run then you can operate the hand held brakes or pass a yellow slip (take one at the turnstile) to the operator as you board the bobsleigh and he will restrict the speed of the sleigh in the control room. This is great for those with young children who want to ride alone (ages 8 plus can go solo), but the parent wants the speed restricted.
We purchased 2 X 6 ride option at €13 euro each and shared this between the four of us. When we'd had enough rides we passed the ticket with the unused rides to the school kids who were delighted to have a couple more 'free' rides.
The cafe on site was reasonably priced and as in most places in Germany it cost 50 cents each to use the toilet.

Great fun for the entire family along the Rhine River in Germany
Jul. 2018 • Family
If you want a fast, downhill luge run while visiting the Rhine River area in Germany, this is your place. It can be a little difficult to find as there aren't many signs but search under sommerrodelbahn Lorely-Bob (on top of the cliffs of Loreley) to find this fun event for entire family. They have child/student discounts and you can go as many times as you want. Lines were not long and parking is free or 2 euro in new parking lot.

A pleasant family activity
Jun. 2018
Our kids (15 & 11) wanted to try bobsledding at the famous Loreley overlook on the Rhine. It’s a fun though simple outing. You get 6 runs for €13 (& you can share the card among you, so 3 people can go 2 times each). It’s scenic & fun, though you can’t see the Rhine from the track. It’s not super-fast or terrifying. I’m timid & was worried about heights and speed, but I handled it fine. A pleasant family activity. The bobsled/luge rides in the Alps (Tegelberg, Biberwier, and Marienburgbahn) are more thrilling.

Great place for a little summer fun. You can buy 6 rides for 13 euros. The rides can be shared with others, You will have your picture taken part way through the ride. Check it out when you complete the ride. It also has your speed recorded. You can purchase the pictures at the ticket booth.

My kids loved the Loreley Bob
Jun. 2016 • Family
This was a lot of fun and my kids loved it. Kids eight and up can ride alone, while younger kids ride with anyone right to adult. The staff spoke excellent English, so we had no issues communicating and they were able to explain the operation and safety to us well. Cost was about $12 euros for six adult rides or $10 per six kids rides (ticket could be shared). I think individual rides were $3-4 Euros each, so 6 ride pass to share was a better deal. Grounds aren't manicured nor is there an impressive view, but ride was fun regardless. We had trouble finding the turn off to get here from main road, so look really carefully for the small Loreley Bob signs.
