Nice castle to visit to spend some free time. Well maintained building but all the info is in Czeck only, and no maps available.

Hukvaldy Castle is one of the most memorable ruins in the region. Visitors can enjoy chapel which was rebuilt and a walk along the fortification from where there are nice views of the surrounding area. Staircase leads up the ruins for more amazing views. The hike to the castle is about 1.5 km long (one way) and leads through beautiful... More

Very large castle, quite a romantic place. It is surrounded by the game park, mouflons and fallow deers are to be seen there. Open air concerts take place there, medieval fairs and fencing shows as well.

A big castle, surrounding by a decent game reserve in the musical town of Hukvaldy is a wonderful opportunity for families as well as young lovers to spend a summer sunny day outdoor, just having fun, enjoying the sun and eating picknick style food. During the summer that castle is often host to a lot of topical activities with knights... More

Great views. Good place for kids to explore and adults too. A very large site with some well restored areas. Quite a climb up but you might be able to drive.

Wow what a climb. Absolutely what I'd expect to see in a fortress. It was no surprise that at not time in its history has it been successfully stormed!! The castle is still in remarkable condition considering its age and chequered history. Wear comfortable footwear for the climb.

I didnt expect to see such an ancient fortress that is still in place till now. We spent around 2 hours wandering around the area and another 1 hour walking downhill to the park.

First, it´s a nice walk from tha car park to the castle. You can take more ways -it´s possible to choose according how tired or fit you are. The castle itself is a ruin with magnificent views of a beuatiful countryside.
