In the last few years this zoo has improved immensely! Our family is attending this zoo more and more on a yearly basis! Staff is always friendly and extremely welcoming! Open year round too! If you go during the winter season, price of admission drops A LOT! Which is great for those odd, warm, Michigan winter days!

I took some out of town guests to the zoo. Three children, ages 8 to 13. The zoo exhibits were well done, although it didn't seem like the animals had a lot of space to move around in, in some cases. Many were inside, probably due to the rainy, cold, wet weather. Despite all of that, my guests loved seeing... More

Easy to locate with amble parking. Very affordable for families. Fairly small zoo but a good variety of animals for all ages.

This is the best small zoo I have ever visited! The animals actually act like they are happy. The animal areas are clean and respectful for the animals. There is a snack stand where you can get hot dogs and such. There is a minimal charge to get in.

I've lived in Lansing my whole life. I go to Potters Park Zoo at least twice a year with my family and school picnics. There's tons of animals, picnic area, concession stand and more . At the concession stand during the summer, if you're hot you can have an ice cold ice cream, during the winter you can have a... More

Perfect size zoo for a 2 hour excursion. Rates are great in the off season, and looks like they are great in the on season too. Most of the animals were out and active and we visited 2/27/17 on a 55 degree sunny day. The otter was very interactive, there were eagles, camels, tiger, lions, penguins, tropical birds, owl. Small... More

Potter Park Zoo is always innovating. There are new animales to see, new classes to take, and exciting exhibits to take in. The off season is a bargin with free parking and reduced entry fees. Free for mothers on Mother's Day and for fathers on Father's Day, its a family friendly place to see and be seen.

We have been using Potter Park Zoo as a meetup location with my parents for years (we live in GR, they live in Flint). It's a great location to see the animal exhibits, spend time together, and enjoy a picnic (bring your own, or there is a Subway down the street). Nice size zoo for a 60-90 minute visit, conveniently... More
