It was ok...

The woman who runs this shop was very nice, so I feel bad giving a negative review. But I would not really call this an antique shop. There were some items in the store that I... read more

walking up to and around the building is beautiful! the owners hard work and creativity show magnificently through out their gardens! I love the hand made quilts and folk lore pieces. it's not an antique mall, it is a husband and wife who've actually worked together & quilt together....they actually have their sewing machine set up by the check out........very... When I visit family in Port Huron I always enjoy a drive up to Lexington, stopping at various antique stores and estate sales along the way. There is usually something new to see and do. This time, Gatherings was a new place to visit. It had a nice, well-tended garden and was rather inviting. Since I was travelling with my... More

We are local, and took a visiting friend there--my first time there. The owner was loudly yelling out her rules as you entered---"No photos" along with other rules. I understand she has a lot of unique items with sayings on them that she does not want people to copy, but it was a rude way to get her message out.... More

Dispite the other reviews, my family and I found the owner quite rude. Upon entering she immediately told us we could under no circumstances have our cell phones visible. Apparently this was so we didn't photograph the "art" or steal ideas? I say art loosely because I didn't see one original piece (just knock-offs of your everyday craft show items).... More

First the gardens catch your eye. The owners are wonderful gardeners and the grounds are pristine. When you go inside you feel welcome immediately. Both Dominiak and Jean make the Folk Crafts from wood and material. The smattering of collectables add to the whole store.

The woman who runs this shop was very nice, so I feel bad giving a negative review. But I would not really call this an antique shop. There were some items in the store that I believe fit into that category, but overall it was more... like a garage sale.

We stopped in at Gatherings and really enjoyed walking through the area. Antiques were nicely presented and reasonably priced.
