We have toured this lighthouse before but I had forgotten how steep the ladders were to climb to the top. One thing I didn't remember also, was that we couldn't access the outside of the lighthouse once we reached the top. They were also doing...More

You can't help but fall in love with this little lighthouse. No longer in official Coast Guard service, this lighthouse is reached by walking out on a 1/2 mile long jetty. That means a one mile commitment that is close to walking on water. The...More

Take a nice stroll out to the lighthouse and if your lucky maybe they have it open and you can take a tour. It’s a nice way to get in your exercise and take in the view.

Nothing like a walk out on the Ludington North Breakwater Pier. Feel the fresh air coming across the lake. See the Badger come into port at the end of the day. Stretch out your legs before your trip home.

Weather did not permit us to walk out to the light. We got as close as we could. Was pretty at sunset.

Arrived a little before sunset. The breeze was fresh and the spray tried unsuccessfully to catch us. When we arrived at the lighthouse, it was quiet as if the lighthouse was surrounded by a protective bubble. Watching the sunset was a perfect way to end...More

My family and I visited this lighthouse just after 9:00 in the morning. The beach was beautiful and clean and the sand was nice to walk on barefoot. The walk out to the lighthouse is along a breakwater (hence the name) and was a fairly...More

This is a free and fun hike that will be a big thrill for the whole family. Beautiful foliage on each side, then beautiful water.
