We got free admission to this by buying our ticket to the fort. It was a nice gallery but very small. It depicted scenes on the island in different types of art styles. The front stairs are very steep so it may be difficult to...More

Nicely done display of old maps and photographs in a building that used to be a dormitory for Native American students.

Mostly Michigan artists, but very good. I think it just opened this year or perhaps last year. If you go around the back there is a handicap ramp and there is an elevator if you can't climb steps.

Very nice way to fill some time on the island. We visit the island every year, and have never taken the time to walk through. We did this past visit, and really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend.

An old Native American dormitory for those serving at the fort, in the past. Now it has Native American art, photographs, water colors, and a small gift area. We were able to see it free with our purchase of tickets to the fort.

The Museum is free with coupons from most hotels. Great history of the island, 2 floors to explore. Mostly photographs. Children may get bored quickly, leisure adults will enjoy browsing.

Admission to the museum was included in the tickets we bought to Fort Mackinac. If we had paid the separate admission fee, we probably would have been disappointed. There wasn't much variety in the art that was presented, but it served its purpose which was...More
