Greetings Paul and thank you for riding with us and for posting. You were obviously aboard with us on October 27 when, yes due to weather, we delayed our morning departures for the first time in nearly two decades. It was an angry day indeed...More

I love Sheplers. The ferries are clean and well maintained and generally run on time. If you buy through the Mackinaw tourism site or your hotel you can get a discount. They have a little snack bar if you need some refreshment while you wait.

We chose the under the bridge trip so had some history along with the trip. Staff is well organized and helpful. Luggage is tagged and delivered directly to many hotels.

Very awesome experience! We were camping about a mile away and they drove the shuttle right to my campsite and picked us up and dropped us off at the end of the day. Boats are clean and well maintained. Two thumbs up for sure.

We used St. Ignace as our port. Check which sailing you'd to take, as some run under the bridge prior to heading to the island. The ferries were comfortable and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Check for discounts.

We stayed at the clarion hotel. It was nice, clean and reasonable. I think I paid $75 a night. They have a pool, hot tub, game room, good breakfast, close to everything and it's on the water.
