This is a beautiful park on the water. Some great views and photo opportunities within the park. You can drive or walk throughout the park. There are a number of trails for a great walk.

We hiked along the shore line. Lunch on the black rocks. Very nice interior roads. Scenery was amazing.

Great park with excellent biking, walking and running options offering superb views of Lake Superior. I ran through this park during the Marquette Marathon miles 21/22 one of the final hills was difficult this late in the race but the views made it bearable. Beautiful...More

The road around the Island is closed the following days and times. Monday and Wednesdays closed from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M. Tuesdays and Thursdays it is closed from 6 A.M. til 1 P.M. I think the Ice cream store is open til 8 or... More

Dogs only permitted in enclosed vehicles.......some folks ignore and they are one who ruin things for everyone.

I don't know the answer to your question. We didn't check out renting kayaks or any other water toys.
