Nature's Kennel Iditarod Sled Dog Racing and Adventures offers guests the opportunity to learn to drive their own sled dog team. In the winter, we offer half-day, full-day and overnight beginner adventures. We also offer dog sled rides both at our kennel location in McMillan, MI (the Eastern Upper Peninsula) and at Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, MI. In the fall, we offer fall color tours by dog team on our four-passenger side by side. In the summer, we have walk-through guided kennel tours.

My wife and I went on a trip on 2/4 and had a blast! Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted outside by Nico and welcomed into the cabin. Once inside the cabin, we chatted with Matti, Luke, and others learning a lot about Mushing and just living off the grid. The team provide artic rated boots which we would highly... More

There are not enough words to describe how much fun this was. We got a package deal that included a 2 night stay at a local B&B and a 20 mile trip out with the dogs. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She showed us how to harness the dogs, commands and trail etiquette. The dogs were happy and energetic.... More

My wife, daughter, and son in law surprised me with the overnight dog sledding adventure. WOW ... and I am almost 70! Thank you Ed & Tasha for running a first class operation. Nature's Kennel is truly about love and exceptional care for your amazing dogs. A special thanks to Tom, Matti & Luke, and "Dr. Marshmallow" for a most... More

The best part of Nature's Kennel is its dogs, and the second best part are the humans who make the dogs healthy, trained, and sociable. My 2 teen children and I went on an overnight sledding adventure that we will never forget! Tasha is a welcoming hostess and organizer, and the guides (like Luke, Scott, and Matti) and the dogs... Absolutely worth the time! The day was filled with sloppy puppy kisses and playtime ending with a visit to the adults. It was fun getting in the pens and playing with the pups! The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back!

Ryan welcomed us and showed us the puppies, we amazed with that many dogs. The next day we arrived Zoey welcomed us and then We meet Tasha, all the crew was... More

When most of our friends were going to the beach, my husband and I wanted a winter adventure. When we found the dog sledding trip at Nature's Kennel where you could learn to drive your own team, we and two friends decided to go. It was an amazing experience from the orientation run, to learning how to hook up the... More

Coming from Indiana, not many people I know can say they have been dogsledding. I am no longer one of those people thanks to Natures Kennel. Seriously, this was an amazing trip. My friends and I came up to the U.P. on a Sunday afternoon and stayed at the Chamberlin Inn and went dogsledding Monday afternoon at Natures Kennel. Dogsledding... More
