Little early for spring blooming but a wonderful place to ride the bicycle paths. Stopped at the beach on Lake Eric and collected shells. Clean bathrooms and a place to camp. Spotted several swans nesting with the males guarding his mate. Great place to bird watch. Only negative was several dead fish. Told by a local it might be power... More

My daughters and I walk the trail on a semi-regular basis (a few times per month). The park does a great job keeping the trail clear. We always see a variety of birds and sometimes, even a deer or two. The trail is over 3 miles long, and nice for getting outside and connecting with nature.

Sterling State Park was a wonderful place to stumble upon. It was a beautiful afternoon and the ponds were full of waterfowl. We walked along the trails looking at birds. Bet it's beautiful in the summer.

Have been here many times. They have a campground and a great boat launch. We ve been fishing here, as well as biking, rollerblading , swimming canoeing. There is a great walking path that is paved. The beach sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, but you can find some clean spots. There is a playground and bathroom facilities as... More

Nice park. Lots of things made this visit enjoyable. The views were amazing, designated fishing spot, nice bike trail but uphill quite a bit. If you get LOT in September next to weeds, etc. lots of bug bites to be expected. If you get one in front of water, it can get windy and cold, may need awning up. But... More

An ideal place for an evening drive to see the deer - and there are many. It has a wonderful bike/hike trail which is well maintained. The campgrounds offer a place to stay for activities like the Jazz Festival in the city of Monroe - just a short bike ride away. Impressive fireworks around the 4th of July that can... More

Lovely, peaceful and clean. Good walking area by use of walker, wheelchair or cane. Of course, self walking excellent too. Clean beach...and grounds. The area was safe in all aspects. Walking was safe...good stable and even walkways. Felt personally safe from ...did not feel as if I could become a victim of brutality.

The Sterling State Park has everything for someone who wants to just be outdoors! A beach, campground, bike trails, boat launch, and waterfowl hunting! Great place to go on your day off and enjoy the outdoors. If you're lucky you'll spot a bald eagle flying over the area!

This is a beautiful park! It was like being out on a rural beach but close to Toledo and Detroit. Very well kept and managed!
