Very extensive ancient Roman community. It truly captures the flavor of Roman life around the time of birth of Christ. Highly encourage a person to hire a guide as he can really bring life the ruins. Well worth the time and has beautiful views.

The ruins are not protected, so everyone can climb on them, take a piece and bring home. It is sad that UNESCO heritage is not responsible for all historical sites. Our history wont be tracked back at some point...

Founded by the Phoenicians, Tipasa was taken over by the Roman and Byzantine empires because of its strategic location. Must see! Added to Unesco World Heritage List in 1982. Many remains that witness the former greatness.

It was a good visit to an historical place but found it badly managed. Good sea view from the site. Nothing is fenced so anyone can come and damage.
