Brihadeeshwara temple is the first granite temple in india and the temple architecture resembles chola king taste.The temple is 1000 year old and is must visiting site.

Located in the town of Thanjavur, also called as 'Big Temple'. This is main temple from the group of Chola Temples which comprise world heritage site. Better to visit during evening especially during sunset as sun sets on the back drop of temple.

Yes,it would be good to go at early morning,but as the SUN gets hotter its difficult to roam.There is no specialty for sun rise here.
