This temple is also found situated in the Taumadhi Square of Bhaktapur. It is 3 tiered story in the Pagoda style. Bhairavnath temple is just across from the Nyatapola temple. Like every other temple it has its own unique designs.

Of all of the temples in Bhaktapur Durbar Square, this one seems to have the greatest following. Follow the rituals when visited.

This is my first time visit to Bhaktapur. And it didn't disappoint me. The whole city buildings are amazing. Taudmadi square has Natayapola temple and Bhairavnath temple. Amazing that both survive the earthquake in 2015.

Good news! "Bhairavnath Temple" survived the terrible April 25, 2015 earthquake virtually undamaged! The beautiful three-storeyed "Bhairavnath Temple" was built and rebuilt between the 17th and 18th centuries, honoring Lord Bhairav, the ferocious and dreadful aspect of God Shiva. As in most Hindu temples, the most sacred altars are not opened to non-Hinduists. Located on famous "Taumadhi Square", "Bhairavnath Temple"... More
