One of the most important and holy Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, open all hours, gives you a good feel of the local Tamil culture.

It was a rainy day hence the temple was almost empty. Neat and clean environment! Not dress code restrictions! Loved this place.

This is a very historic temple in Trinco and definitely worth a visit. Its on top of a hill next to the ocean. Its a very touristy place with full of tourists. You need to park the vehicle quite far away and walk up to the temple

The high rock on which the temple stands gives great views out to sea and... More

Following a gentle walk up to the temple passed a few stalls selling hats and souvenirs we saw the colourful statue with the temple behind. We were privilaged to be allowed to join a ceremony and (we are female) local females showed us what to do. We bought a ticket at a kiosk to give to the priests to bless... More

Visited this place on a rainy day. The temple is located right on the edge of a hill facing the Blue Ocean. You get pleasant sightings of deer as well.

We went there during late January and unfortunately it turned out to be a very hot day. You have to leave your transport a fair way from the temple and walk the rest of the distance bare foot. We found it very uncomfortable to walk on the tarmac which was extremely hot for us. Managed to get as close as... More
