My daughter and I just came back from Nicaragua. Our last stop was Rancho Los Alpes, which was a beautiful, wonderful, scenic place! We happened to be the only guests at the time, and received the royal treatment from the staff and owners. The hospitality was gracious, the food was delicious and the scenery gorgeous! Unfortunately the lagoon was dry,... More

My mom and I came here after escaping the hustle and bustle of Granada and Leon. We took the local busses here from Leon, which wasn't too bad, and walked the 1.5 kilometers to the entrance. The walk was on a nice secluded road, so don't be worried if you didn't arrange transportation beforehand. However, if you have a lot... More

I was a part of a college group so it was me and 17 other college students. We all had a wonderful time! Alma and Axel (brother and sister who own the ranch) were very hospitable... More

My friend and I spent the day at Rancho Los Alpes yesterday, 12th March. We wanted to milk a cow for the first time and go horse riding. The service and hospitality was amazing, they even drove to our hostel in Leon to pick us up, and cooked us a very delicious home made meal. The ranch is GORGEOUS, with... More

Several went in January of 2013. The staff made us feel just like we were at home on a real ranch. We had so much fun horseback riding and doing the zip line over the lagoon. It was so much fun. Also, the food was delicious and every day we did something different. If you like to have fun and... More

I just returned from a weekend escape at the rancho Los Alpes near Leon, and must say-still entoxicated by the magic of this experience. I am rating this very high because of three reasons- amazingly friendly, warm and professional staff and management, great setting in the nature, and beautiful rancho house atmosphere with a touch of nostalgia. Regarding food, we... More
