The lake was clear but a bit cold, but the sand was impeccable! Our kids loved playing on the beach and in the playgrounds. They rake the beach in the morning, so very clean.

The Pete Marquette Beach is large, easy to get to, and very clean. Because of its size, it rarely feels crowded. A great alternative to other Lake Michigan beaches. Plus, plenty of parking.

Pere Marquette is a beautiful, clean and large beach that most people don't think about going to! I would choose Pere Marquette over any other beach on the Lake Michigan shoreline!

I stayed at the Shoreline Inn in August and liked it so much, I didn't want to leave. There's a lot to do just in the hotel. It's about 6 miles between by bike, 30 minutes or so to ride it.
